A life unfolds...

Embedded in soil,
life begins to form,
aching for light, water,
slowly unfolding, maturing,
growing branches infused with love,
and leaves holding the blood of care,
towering above all.
But eventually what goes up must come down,
a concept unavoidable,
even for a soul so sturdy and strong,
so it settles without regrets,
peacefully,
and another takes its place.
